I did it! I bought a new lens and let me tell you, I could not be happier!! I decided on the 50 mm 1.8d as it was/is more in my price range at the moment. I've also heard fantastic things about it. I'm getting use to using a prime lens. I'll be honest, it's a bit hard. I'm so used to my zoom and I find myself always too close to my subject with this lens but I'm getting the hang of it.
And... here are some shots I took using it last night while little Booboo was in the tub. She was being such a ham and so I grabbed my camera quickly and got these:

Okay, I've already told you I love the lens choice, but I'll say it again...I love it! I think it's smart and the next step in your business path, way to go!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your purchase - those are some great shots! Can you invite me again to your other blog? I've been without the internet for so long that the invite you sent me expired (and I tried emailing you, but it came back to me failed). Anyway, I just want to stay updated on what you're doing!
ReplyDeleteHey! I like that lens too. I bought it about a month ago. The only problem I've been having is that it tends to be hard to manually focus. (At least, for me anyway!) I hardly ever autofocus so I have to make sure I get it focused after I take a picture. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you are loving Nashville!
precious!
ReplyDeleteThis little cutie is such a Smith! Great camera, picture and photographer!
